A 500 km trip with fuel consumption of 7 L/100 km and diesel at €1.65/L: you'll use 35 liters, around €57.75 one-way — about €115.50 round-trip.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I find my car's real fuel consumption?
The onboard computer gives the real average consumption, which is usually 10-15% higher than the official spec-sheet figure, especially in city driving, with a loaded car, or at high motorway speeds.
Where can I check fuel prices?
Spain's Ministry for Ecological Transition publishes prices for every service station in the country, and several apps show the cheapest ones near your route.
Does this include tolls or vehicle wear?
No. It only covers fuel. For the real cost of a trip you would need to add tolls and vehicle depreciation, which is usually estimated separately per kilometer.
